Degree from Europe, GPA that I have entered is what UofAlberta GARS calculator estimated for last two years, although it should be 3.0-3.3 based on conversion to US GPA through scholaro, grading scales provided by UK universities, etc. Did not take GRE. Decent SOP, decent recommendations, 1 very good research internship, no publications. I think low GPA is the issue. Willing to answer if anyone has questions :) Best wishes for those admitted

This is a school full of legacy admits and rich kids anyway. Meritocracy is a blatant lie, no matter how hard I work I still have to "pay the price" for being born poor and nonwhite in this miserable excuse for a country. All these prestigious schools are the same -- they admit a handful of working class folks to serve as "inspirational stories" who are given the privilege of pursuing a doctoral degree, and the rest of us rejects have to beg for jobs that refuse to pay us what we're worth; meanwhile Jeff who's never paid for a bill in his life gets hired because his dad knows a guy at the country club. I hope all rich people lose their wealth and learn to live on the street like the rest of us "undesirables".

accepted to 3yr extended program as a psychology/linguistics double major; worked as research assistant and RBT in undergrad

Applied for a Ph.D, accepted for a Masters. (I am happy that I at least have something to fall back on!)

Canadian Student. Has a publication and strong research background but low GPA.
