Haven't heard from Michigan, but saw only 3 acceptances w/ funding sent out today and 2 waitlists. Like PoliSci, should the rest of us be expecting rejections to roll out over the next few days, or do y'all think this is Phase 1 of acceptances...?

I am shocked and exhilarated!!!!! fully funded!!!! crying!!!

I hope people understand that 1) this was a highly competitive cycle and 2) just because you went to a prestigious school or have the highest this and that, that doesn't make you one of the best candidates for a certain program. There is so much that goes into a decision rather than you. There is a decreased budget in many programs this year, your intended mentor/advisor may not have the RA funds and/or may have too many students to handle, OR they did you a favor by not admitting you because they don't see how you would fit and/or who could best serve you no matter what you may have said in your statement. It happens yall.

I am so happy! First acceptance after many rejections. 3 years of fellowship, 2 years of TAship, relocation costs, 4 years summer funding, research expense account. Such generous funding. Such a great fit for me.

Got email from DGS. The DGS said that over 400 applied this year. I am still digesting this. Good luck everyone!!!

Received an email from the faculty I will be working with. Official letter and funding letter to come soon. Full Funding for five years. This was my top choice so I am really happy! Good luck to all those who applied, don't give up.
