International student. Got an email to check the update on the portal. It had the same old "many candidates, less spots" line. Glad to be put of out misery instead of a long wait. Good luck to those waiting.

Anyone also accepted heard anything about the funding? Would like to hear more about it! I will have to decide between this and others. Congrats to all!

GPA is MA. Waited 2 days on "update pending," but I'm not too shocked. Always a bummer to get a rejection, but not too suprised about this program.

I am begging you, anyone out there accepted into this program and no longer wishes to be part of UNC's program bc of a better offer or what have you, please let somebody know asap. I am wishing you all far better offers at your dream schools ahhhhhh. This is like the limbo of decision limbo. I'm going to go bonkers by the end of this. Good luck to everyone out there!!

Canadian Applicant. GPA is MA level. The first response of the year, first acceptance ever! Great prospects and a generous funding package.

Email from DGS. I am so incredibly thrilled.

GPA is MA. Email from the DGS. Official letters and exact funding details to follow. The visit date is in early March. First acceptance after four rejections. I was starting to feel hopeless. This is one of my top choices, so I am thrilled!!!!!

NO INTERVIEW. Has anyone else heard from NYU? Are they doing interviews?

Did anyone receive an interview request from NYU? They had said they'll be interviewing this cycle.

Full funding for 5 years, either through MSU fellowship or GA package. Fellowships are awarded late February so will know more then. Very seriously considering, especially if awarded fellowship. 2a/1r/7p
