English Graduate School Admission Results

Absolutely elated, first acceptance and a school at the top of my list! Very kind phone call from DGS followed by formal offer letter via email. After two rejections from comparable universities, I was not holding out much hope. A couple of presentations under my belt, but no publications other than my undergrad thesis (and upcoming MA thesis). 1A/2R, more pending. MA GPA 4.0.

Another applicant indicated that (s)he found the result in the portal, so I checked the portal, and found the rejection letter with a date of today (Jan 31st).

IGNORE INTERVIEW. To the poster below, I am also waiting to hear from Brandeis despite seeing rejections on here. It looked like the other posters were international applicants, so maybe that had something to do with it. Crossing fingers for both of us!

Ignore Interview-- I have not heard anything from them-- I saw some rejections, does anyone know when they usually send out acceptances or interview invites (if any)?

Received phone call from program director in early Jan. Official notification came today with an email to check portal.

They honestly don't have anyone in my sub-field to advise me, but was very attracted to the department and resources regardless...

Nicely worded rejection email. Not the best fit for my interests, but I've always liked the campus. Not hugely upset. On to the next! 0a/2r/02/11p

Email to check portal and was shocked to see an acceptance. Letter had some funding information. I was not expecting this at all! I am over the moon.

Master's in Liberal Arts w/ First Class Honours. First rejection- was expecting so not a huge hit, but feels bad man. Still, I'm optimistic. I think my new media/hypermodernism focus might be a tough fit for some of my choices though…
