Sociology Graduate School Admission Results

I am an international student and rejected. I am really so sad

GPA grad. Rejected off the waitlist. After emailing the department, they told me that they've admitted all the students they can. Heartbroken.

Canadian domestic student. Rejected off the waitlist--not surprised after how long they kept us waiting, I accepted another offer almost two months ago already. Best of luck for everyone else still waiting, hope you get it!

Not an actual rejection. Pretty cool that there's still no response from them either way. Don't even have the decency to send rejections? Smh.

Just posting to see if anyone has heard an update on funding? Was accepted in February and have been waiting to hear about funding since. When I reached out, the grad director said April 15th at the earliest -- has anyone heard anything else?

Did anyone apply to UMass Boston's Applied Sociology MA program and have you received any response yet? Thank you!

Is anyone declining their offer for UNC? This is my only remaining chance at an offer this cycle, and it is one of my top programs I applied to. I understand if not, but any information would be very much appreciated!

To the offer holders, if you have more suitable offers elsewhere, you might want to decline this one. According to the update on April 15 Resolution this year, we are automatically permitted to change offer decisions even after April 15 2021 though the April 15 deadline continues to remain (nominally). If you do not plan to attend please decline your offer before the deadline to give the WL a chance. I was rejected from 9/10 schools. Utoronto is my only hope for the season!! ):

TTPB: I was also waitlisted previously but have heard nothing since then. Are you one of the people who posted their waitlist results earlier? I presume it'll take a while for us to hear anything from the department.

I received a phone call from the graduate director. 5 years of funding, including 2 summers, health insurance, and compensation for conference travel. 2a/17r/2w/0p

Rejected off the waitlist. I e-mailed the DGS and got a reply from someone in the graduate admissions office: "I am so sorry but we are unable to extend any more offers of admissions for this year. I am in the process of contacting those on the wait list this afternoon. We had so many highly qualified applicants and a limited number of spaces. I truly wish you all the best in this next phase of your career. You have so much to offer and I am quite certain you will be a tremendous asset wherever you go."

Email to check portal, where it stated that I was accepted with no mention of funding.
