I was utterly sure that I was rejected from this program because everyone else got an acceptance from wayyyyyy back. Waitlisted for funding.

With guaranteed funding amount provided in letter of acceptance

I received full funding, but have decided to attend elsewhere. I hope this helps someone waiting for funding!

Really love Penn State but got an offer elsewhere, will be rejecting this offer later today as I just officially committed to another school. Hope this helps out people on the waitlist!

Will be leaving the waitlist pool tonight as I officially committed to another school- good luck to everyone else on the waitlist! I reached out back in late February and was told that I would be informed of my status (accept/reject) before April 15th so hopefully you all will be hearing soon!

(Not actual waitlist) I applied to the soc phd (GSAS) and got rejected same day as everyone. This morning, I got an email inviting me to apply to Master's in XE: experimental humanities and social engagement. "You were selected to receive this invitation bc profile suggests you would be a good fit for our program...simply send the new statement of purpose w/name and ID" & then at the bottom, it mentions that 30% of tuition is covered & there's an invitation for an open house. Did anyone else get this email? I explicitly checked the box to not be considered for the Quant master's (tho I know that's on pause rn anyway). Wondering if they sent this out to all rejectees or not. Thanks.

TTPB: I'm thinking of reaching out the second week of April to gauge how things stand to inform my own decision, but I have a feeling a lot of students are going to be waiting until the deadline to make their decisions, as a lot of people are ending up on waitlists when they would have likely been accepted any other year. For now I think it's just a waiting game, and worse than usual this cycle for sure.
