This was my back up school but that turned out to be my final choice/option. Admissions for the PhD this cycle was brutal. I already had an M.S. in Criminology & Criminal Justice but I hadn't been in school since 2013. I was advised by schools that rejected me to try this route so that I stand a chance at a PhD program with strong letters and a clean updated slate. Wishing everyone best of luck as this admissions period was definitely brutal. 1a6r0w

High GPA, Honours degree, research experience, excellent references. Can't believe I waited this long for a rejection, but such is life. Will try again next year! Don't give up, and good luck to those who got in.

Rejected off waitlist. 2nd year in a row that my only success was a single waitlist that I was eventually rejected off of. Told by both programs that Covid played a huge role but after 2 years of failure, I have to start questioning if this is the right path for me. Covid has been brutal for grad school applications.
