Computer Science, UC Santa Barbara (UCSB) You need to be from a tier 1 UG university (many non-CS IIT majors get in here) or have a very high gpa (work ex otherwise) to be considered. Oh and just like all the UCs, if you don't satisfy these 2 constraints your application won't even be looked at, it's not like having a profile matters.

Computer Science, Northwestern University TTPsB : There is nothing wrong with the admission process. These are select colleges which have good reputation and allow international applicants to apply late into Febrauary. I myself have GRE of 330 and a good profile, but Northwestern and Univ of Chicago are the only good colleges i could apply to.

Computer Science, Ohio State University Mailed grad-adm@cse.ohio-state.edu about the status of my application and received this: "All decisions of admittance has been posted. No decision posted is a reject and will be posted at a later date. I am truly sorry I had to inform you of such. With over a one thousand applications we as a program had to admit who best fits our program. It is a very competitive program"
