Computer Science, Cornell Tech (Cornell) Got waitlisted at Cornell Tech, hopefully my chances are alright since it's my dream school. For those of you who've been admitted, first off congrats! And also, until when do you have to accept/reject the offer?

Computer Science, University Of Alberta Hey, to all of you that got rejected...don't lose hope. I got rejected when I first applied to my MSc from both the schools I applied to. Then when I applied the following year, I got accepted. Try again. It isn't over. Your plans for next year may be different, but don't give up on your dream. I know that some schools do not require a statement of purpose for the MSc application, but I wrote one anyway. I put months of effort into making to perfect and I got into the schools I applied to.

Computer Science, University Of Alberta TPPB: I have been also interviewed and recommended to committee by my POI but no update yet. It's upto the committee now. Lucky you, at least you are waitlisted – I didn't even get waitlisted. Seeing this many rejections with such great profiles, I can see one coming my way too. Sad!

Computer Science, University Of Alberta I really don't know how it is possible, but I have seen people getting into UofA with much weaker profile this year itself. After seeing so many people being rejected, I am also sure that my rejection is on its way. I had interview with my POI and it went quite well. However, my classmates who had no interview, much lesser GPA and no good publication got admission. UofA was one of my safe choices and I am feeling that their admission system is not very neutral, at least in this year. Sorry for the opinion :) Thanks.

Computer Science, University Of Alberta The same. Heartbroken. TTPBBB: How can people get rejected with 2 papers published? Unbelievable!!! Are those top conferences or top journals? This really kills my thought of gapping. Won't get in anyway.

Computer Science, University Of Illinois, Chicago (UIC) My status changed to Additional Review required. I know it is going to be a reject...but I am so excited to get an update at least XD. This is one of the last university I am waiting to hear from.

Computer Science, UC San Diego (UCSD) UCSD Undergrad (not for BSMS), prior research with UCSD professors, strong letters, 3 weeks to SIR. Really not appreciative of UCSD for MS acceptances... Took forever and idk how they're gonna grab top talent like this -.-
