Computer Science (MSAII), Carnegie Mellon University Oh well, too few seats and many deferrals. They actually sent the exact same email last year as well, so a waste of $$$. I guess top unis don't care especially if the undergrad uni you are from is unknown even if you punched above your weight to stand out.

Computer Science, Columbia University I also received this email yday night. I submitted my application in early December, but LORs got completed on 13th/14th of Jan. "Thank you for submitting your application to Columbia Engineering's Computer Science Master of Science program! We appreciate the time and effort you spent in preparing your application. Your application is currently under review. While we cannot give you an estimate on when you will receive your admission decision, we want you to know that your application will receive careful consideration by the Computer Science faculty committee. Decisions will be made on an ongoing basis"

Computer Science (MSAII), Carnegie Mellon University Only 30 seats are available so not surprising. UG GPA 9.4/10 from a very average university. No pubs, but do have some collaborations with the industry that made me feel like it was worth applying. Congrats to everyone who got through, and all the best to everyone else!

Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University Rejected from MS AII. A little disappointed with this result. I have 2 publications, one research internship, two internshisp at Fortune 500 companies and have good projects relevant to my field. Belong to a Tier 3 university, but have strong LORs and a strong SOP. With only 30 seats open for this application season, I guess it was a moonshot. Congratulations to those admitted and best of luck to the rest!

Computer Science, Columbia University I'm pretty sure everyone got that under review mail. These Columbia folks keep spamming everyone with their promotional emails; driving up everyone's anxiety! They probably ended up getting a lot of mails for a status update that they had to send this mail out. :P

Computer Science, Columbia University Hi all, Did anyone receive a mail notification like this Thank you for submitting your application to Columbia Engineering's Computer Science Master of Science program! ...... Your application is currently under review. I submitted my application on Jan 15th but completed the video interview on 16th. Am I considered in round 1 or round 2 deadline? Wanted to know when did others receive a mail like this? I am from India.
