All applicants with completed applications will receive notification of a decision by June 1st. ". At least there is a final deadline for announcing the decisions!

Computer Science, Columbia University Is there anyone here who was waitlisted by Columbia for Fall'20 admissions and hence was given the opportunity to apply for Spring'21 or Fall'21 with zero application fees? For such students, Columbia reactivated their application on the old portal itself and they're supposed to apply from there itself. Columbia chose not to merge their applications with the new portal. Is there anyone here who belongs to this category of people and has heard back from Columbia either in positive or negative? They're not responding to the query mails sent to them either, an auto-generated response is sent back.

Computer Science, University of Southern California TTPB: Bro, you talking about visa, what about courses? They won't let you register courses without i20. USC will begin course registration soon. F for the people who will get admit in June. Most students will register for the courses by then. You will either be waitlisted again just like right now to add to your anxiety. Or you need to take up courses which are recommended for the 1st sem. As everyone might be aware of the batch size there. This might hamper your cgpa as well.

Computer Science, University of Southern California All this fuss about USC every year, lol! But I am amazed people haven't moved on already this year. It's almost mid May and might be considered stupid if you are still just waiting for USC. Be thankful to everyone who supported you through this process and willingly accept the other admit you have. You are gonna spend hefty tuition fees for your masters and so you should be happy with the admit you have. Next year is gonna be the same, same number of deferrals, same number of new applications and same cgpa filter. Start with the other process because an admit in June, won't assure you your visa slot. And USC may simply ask you to apply next year or defer. I am going for the Summer term to some other university this June and I am still not able to get emergency visa slot (ps: trying since 2 weeks). So, it's gonna require a lot of luck to get visa if you get an admit in May end or June.

Computer Science, Columbia University This was my top choice, I'm completely devastated. Really thought my profile was good enough but I was wrong. CS competition is insane at this point it seems. I guess I'll be headed to USC now...

Computer Science, University of Southern California Lol true. I was kinda obsessed with USC (ps: Fall 2019 , 9.12 cgpa). Waited till May end for the same and got a reject in June :). I almost ended up screwing my other admit and had to end up paying hefty rent for the whole first year due to the delay. But now I don't have any regrets of not being a Trojan. I graduated from a equally good university and I'll be joining Amazon as SDE and even my friends from USC will be joining the same with similar salary. I was told to post my views about USC admission process by one of friends who would be going for masters this fall. Focus on your skills and you would do great don't worry!

Computer Science, Columbia University All of my friends living in India have been rejected. Don't know if this is related to the present COVID and embassies conditions in India or application have been clearly rejected on academic standards. I can see all have been rejected on gradcafe.
