Counseling Psychology, Hunter College I knew this was coming, checked portal (no email). I rushed the application at the airport and applied same day. I got in last fall 2023 for their general psych masters research program, but wanted to go the counseling route. I didn't really deserve to get in this time around, glad someone else got a spot.

Counseling Psychology, University Of Toronto Canadian, out-of-province applicant. I have an honours psych bachelors and a graduate diploma. Years of volunteer experience at crisis lines and have been working as a youth protection social worker for the last year. Informed with an email informing to check application page.

Clinical Psychology, Nova Southeastern University Emailed director asking for updates after PhD Interview Day in early February. The director informed me that invites had already been extended and that I was on the waitlist. I have an M.S. in psych (3.97) and five years of post-school experience, including two research lab positions and a college-level adjunct instructor position in psych.

Clinical Psychology, Pepperdine University checked voicemail today, there was a message saying I was accepted to Malibu daytime clinical psych masters for Fall 2024, acceptance email coming soon - not 100% sure when I was called

Human Factors, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University MS in Experimental Psych (4.0), MS in Aviation (3.7). 12 peer reviewed publications (including in Nature and PNAS), 15 conferences. At this point, I literally don't know what schools want anymore. This is round 12 with 30 targeted schools (all but two have so far already rejected me.) I'm tempted to get a PhD by publication.

Counseling Psychology, Northwestern University Made it through initial review, asked for interview. My interview was today, 3/18. This is for online MA program. 2+ years of psych undergrad research, teaching assistant, active member on campus. Waiting to hear back, could take up to 8 weeks.

Counseling Psychology, University Of Pennsylvania Rejected with basic rejection email. 2+ years of undergrad psych research, teaching assistant, active member on campus, etc. Had a feeling it was too far of a reach, wasn't my top program so its fine.

School Psychology, University Of Northern Colorado Notified of interview on Jan 11th, Interviewed on Feb 26th. Notified of Acceptance on March 8th. Currently a Senior completing my undergrad in psych, 3.47 GPA, completed 1 REU internship, around 500+ research hours across 2 labs, in an undergrad fellowship.

School Psychology, University Of Cincinnati Notified of interview on Dec 18th, interviewed with PI and one grad student on Jan 22nd. Notified of waitlist on Feb 1st. Currently a Senior completing my undergrad in psych, 3.43 GPA, completed 1 REU internship, around 500+ research hours across 2 labs, in an undergrad fellowship. Believe I was rejected because I wasn't a good fit

Currently a Senior completing my undergrad in psych, 3.43 GPA, completed 1 REU internship, around 500+ research hours across 2 labs, in an undergrad fellowship. Believe I was rejected because I wasn't a good fit

Human Factors, Rice University 2 MS degrees (3.7 and 4.0) - One in area of interest with a concentration in HF, the other in Psych. 13 journal articles (including one in Nature and one in PNAS), 15 conference, multiple years of working in the field as a consultant.
