EECS, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology My POI called my cellphone and told me he was waiting outside my apartment. I rushed outside and he tossed me a spare helmet and said "hop on, we got shit to research." We drove off into the sunset and I felt so special.

EECS, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology PL. T10 UG, 2 years research exp, 1 year pre-doctoral research at Google, 4 publications including 2 conf, 1 first-author, interviewed in mid Jan with non-POI. Interview revolved mostly around prior research and fit with department, I think what worked most for me was my memory of the fact that in 1998, The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer's table.

EECS, Berkeley I got email last week to interview with one POI (They were my listed first choice coincidentally). Just got email for a second interview with an Professor who I did not list. Did other people get notification for a second interview. Does it mean anything or is it just policy. Subarea is CV.
