Graduate School Admission Results

Had an interview and then months later was notified of rejection via status update on application portal.

Received a general rejection letter from the Academic Services Administrator.

Expected rejection because no interview but they said their acceptance rate this cycle was 2%... which is kind of crazy. Didn't think getting into these programs would be harder than medical school...

First waitlisted.

If you've gotten an offer for BA's lab, I beg of you, please release the offer if you have another one. I am almost 30, this is my third application cycle, and I have no other offers. My life depends on this. This is my dream. Please.

I have a masters of science, undergrad in animal behavior and biology, 7+ years in research, 1 first author publication, didn’t take GRE, knew PI before applying (cuz i work for UF)

Accepted, but waiting to make a decision. Didn't submit GRE scores.

After not hearing back, I sent admissions an email just so I could confirm a rejection. “ At this time, we have sent out offer letters to a number of applicants. You have not been identified as a high alternate for admissions in our department. We appreciate the time you took to apply and interview with our program. We wish you the best of luck.”

Has anyone heard back about acceptance/rejections after FSU interviews?

Hadn’t received any email yet but checked the application status page.

:( (FYI - the PI never advertised that they were taking a student so not to worry - it is unlikely to be yours! :) Not sure if they took someone else earlier this month or funding concerns tipped them back to not taking anyone. Email was vague. Updating here for posterity.
