Political Science, GRADUATE INSTITUTE OF INTERNATIONAL AND DEVELOPMENT STUDIES (IHEID) so what should I say more about it? Last year with a splash of hope, I was all in one dime for this school to pursue a phd here but I didn't get in. I was so disappointed at myself and I tried again this year. BUT I was too afraid to apply for a PhD so I just applied for a master hoping to get into the fast-track later on. And I was accepted but without FA. In the mean time, I got another PhD at Manchester..............sometimes life just wanted to tease you for fun I guess........

Political Science, IHEID - Graduate Institute (Geneva) Fully funded for four years. Grad GPA: 3.7. One pending publication. Background in Gender Studies (undergrad) and Public Policy (Grad). One year of work with an international organization in a field closely related to my thesis project. Several internships with smaller NGOs. Two research assistantships.

International Development, Graduate Insitute Geneve (IHEID) Received an admission last year but postponed my studies because of the pandemic. I expect an offer in the coming weeks, but the current outcome shows how competitive admissions were this year.

Economics, Graduate Institute Geneva (IHEID) Accepted without funding! Thie Institute really needs to sort out its priorities. It's doling out scholarships to Master's students when it does not even have enough funds to cover PhD research. It's a good practice to give scholarships for Master's studies but only when you have covered the basic administrative and research expenses such as salaries of your professors, PhDs, and non-academic staff. At present, IHEID is behaving like those dense millennials who struggle to cover their basic expenditures (say, housing rent) but spends a fortune on Louis Vitton - just for the sake of looking cool!

Development Studies, Graduate School Of Geneva (IHEID) Student from EU, undergraduate in the UK. Two internships related to a low-income, fragile state in an embassy and a Swiss NGO. Pristine recommendation letters and academic record with a university prize for outstanding academic achievement. Decent motivation letter referring to a desire to build a career in the UN/WHO. Pending publication.

International Affairs, Graduate Institute Of International And Development Studies (IHEID) Email notice to check follow-up portal. Accepted with no financial aid. Given low tuition cost in comparison to US-based schools, I will likely attend!

International Economics, Graduate Institute Of International And Development Studies (IHEID) Accepted to MA in International Econ with fast track to PhD based on good performance in first year. Did not apply for financial aid because my parents' income would have disqualified me.

International Economics, The Graduate Institute, Geneva (IHEID) No funding. I am from a low-income country and do not have the resources to afford their tuition or living expenses in Geneva. God knows what's their definition of "documented financial need". TPB (PolSci/IR PhD with full funding): Have you received financial aid for the entire 4-year duration or just the 1st year?
