Graduate School Admission Results

Got caught up in the second wave of massive rejections, but expected anyway. Hoping for chances elsewhere.

Surprising, looks like COVID really pumped up the amount of American talent applying this cycle.

About time.

Although "rejections are impending," a wave of acceptances is impending as well. The admission process has been delayed due to COVID, so MIT is a few weeks behind the trends of previous years. I reached out to the admissions department regarding this. If you don't believe me you can ask them yourself. They are trying the best they can.

Are the bulk rejections a sure thing? Is there any chance for another round of acceptances being handed out? And have 'Masters' results been out at all? I have seen a majority of PhD posts on this page only. Hoping for the best. Best of luck everyone!

Rejection. Super sad but I have to accept the results. It is what it is. I hope anyone who accepts the offer would enjoy their life in Cambridge and Boston.

"Bulk rejections" is a regular Monday at the MIT admissions office lol. I was never too hopeful but I find it a bit cruel that they're waiting until sometime in March to send me that rejection.

TTBP: Fortunately this forum has a clearly marked method of notification that labels the March 1st rejects as E-mail notifications

I understand that they never send any admits in march but I literally don't see even 1 international SM admit on gradcafe or yocket.

Bulk rejections are impending. You will be rejected unless someone happens to decline an offer soon and you happen to be at the top of the list of remaining applicants without a decision. Unfortunately, there isn't enough space for every qualified applicant to be admitted. It is what it is.
