Graduate School Admission Results

Hi all, I applied for Gatech MSCS as well. I thought specialization is optional so that I did not choose the choice I want the most. Actually I changed my mind over the couple months. I know it sounds... but ... Are we allowed to switch specialization while we attend school? If not, I guess there is no point for me to wait ...

home unit is college of computing, got email to check the website

Got an email today morning telling that the decision will be available by end of business day. Was updated by POI on Friday 3/16 of an admit. Will update profile on receiving the official confirmation in a couple of hours.

I think the admission is still working on applications. They are supposed to finish sending out all admission decisions by the end of March. I got this from an email with CS department. Hang on there, good luck to you all!

First admission after 3 rejections

I'm getting rejected by schools the same way that I get rejected by women..... almost all the time.

To the poster below, me. I applied on 20th December and got the 'please wait' mail last week. Did not get the 5 pm mail today

To the GT post below, what is your research area? Did they specify which school? (like school of computing? Interactive computing?) Thanks

Got the decision from the department, waiting for the institute.

With the help of my friend studying currently at GaTech, I tried to contact MSE. I have to submit decisions before April 15 to other schools. They replied that they cannot make the professors respond faster as they are really busy. But they assured that decisions will be made before April 15. Three professors have already replied that they do not have any openings. I am not sure why this is the case for the Masters program. This is really shady.

The website says the results should be out by April 1st. However, I haven't heard back. Did they already send out the acceptances for MSCS? I am getting anxious.

I kinda saw that coming, sorry for the guys with 325 above scores. My first reject. Got 6 yrs exp in IT, no papers.

Meh. Off to UMass!

Any idea when MS CS (on campus) decisions will be rolled out?

I applied CS PhD at Gatech. I listed three POIs all from CSE department in College of Computing. I had an interview with one POI Jan 26 via Skype. The professor has very good relationship with my current advisors. And I believe I had a positive interview, since the professor said he really want me to join his group through interview. He confirmed that they are still reviewing cases that time and the decisions will came out in weeks. I believe there will be another batches for admission, Stay hopeful guys.

Department decision made, no clue what that implies. But I guess wait for the rejection/acceptance letter? [Home: Biochemistry and Chemistry]
