I am in regular touch with my POI who is very interested to take me but is currently looking for funding. He told me that unless a faculty can find a slot to fund you, one will not receive a PhD admit. In your case, your application is still open for the faculty to see and make a decision. However, by now all the decisions are made. So, unless a faculty has explicitly said that he/she is looking for funding for you, you can expect an MS admit from UMich. |
