Graduate School Admission Results

Received a standard email stating that they had over 700 applicants and would select only 10% and are thus unable to offer admission to many applicants.

I really loved Berkeley after 5 years, but I guess it's not meant to be. I'm gonna take it as my current PI is using his adcom power to force me to go somewhere else and get new perspectives.

Due to a strict enrollment ceiling imposed by the University and our finite funding capacity, we were only able to offer admission to 10% of our applicants. Unfortunately, this resulted in our not being able to accept many excellent, qualified applicants. We regret to inform you that we will not be able to offer you admission to our PhD program.
