I regret to inform you that we are unable to admit you to the Ph.D. Program in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. The Computer Science Department received over 1100 applications this year, and our program can support only a small number of new students. Unfortunately, this means that there were many highly qualified applicants we could not admit to our program.

" They also have a weird incentive to accept early "For students who are ready to make their enrollment decision NOW and submit the online decision notification form by April 1st, we will offer you $500 toward your tuition at the start of the Fall semester. This is separate from any INI funding offers you might receive. All students will receive INI funding notification in early March."
