Not happy about this one. No communication from the department until March.

Emailed department after having been ghosted and was told I was rejected.

Checked portal and found a rejection message

Randomly check the portal.

Submitted application on Feb 12th, got accepted on March 5th.

4 years regulatory affairs at an investment bank 7 months in climate change advocacy

Got 3 admissions, and rejected by 13 programs. Happy but disappointed at the same time. Good luck to y'all.

applied to 5 top poli sci phd programs this year, all rejected. International student, field: political communication, without poli sci degrees. Poli sci phd programs are so competitive and it seems that they don't welcome students from outside majors, compared with so called "tech" phd programs like hci, information, and cs, these programs seem more friendly. However, got a MA offer from Chicago MAPSS - poli sci. It's an encouragement.

Canadian. MA and 1 publication. Very generous funding and TA not required.

Sent an email to inquire about the progress of the application, and I was told to be put on the waiting list inside. Although the application before the MA has been informed of the power of Canadian research, today is a visual feel, indeed difficult.
