Graduate School Admission Results

To the posted below about UPenn, they appear to be notoriously late with admission decisions. Last year they did not come until Feb 25th and the year prior Feb 19th. It doesn't appear any decisions have been issued yet but should be coming in the next week or so.

Area: AI/CV. No previous contact or interview with any faculty. Maybe the admissions are department-wide.

IITK undergrad (GPA 7.1). Out of 4 GPA evaluated by WES iCAP. Post Baccalaureate certificate in Applied Math from Columbia (GPA: 4.132). Mailed them regarding the status, They said "it is very unlikely that we will be able to offer you admission". This was the perfect program for me. Good luck to those accepted.

To the IITB undergrad below: would you mind sharing your CPI, and other profile details?

Not expected. Good acads, LORs, SOP, 2 papers. To future applicants: its better to apply in the Nov cycle, low applicant pool size might boost your chances.

Have people heard back? Or gotten interviews- I have not heard anything from them, and don't see many posts about their program on the forum

To Penn posters below: How did people find out whether they were admitted or rejected? What links did you click on the website? On Applyweb I click on 'Online Application' and it doesn't show anything new.

Email from Matt Levendusky. This follows 3 (4-ish) rejections, so what they say is true... keep hoping!

Straight to the point. First line: "I am delighted to tell you that the Department of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania has decided to admit you into our Ph.D. program".
