Graduate School Admission Results

Same as the poster below, got an email on 26 Feb saying that the decision was awaited, and received an email today saying that the application has been rejected. Probably, the renewable energy area took more time than the others. Congratulations to all those who received admits!

Previously got an email Feb 26th saying no decision had yet been made; did not interview. Still in the TPP pool with results there expected around March 15th. Interested in renewable energy/power systems, which seems to be a less popular topic in IDSS overall.

Received email from coordinator with official offer letter attached. Offer letter was semi-personalized with professors in my areas of interest named as points of contact. I interviewed the week of Feb 22-26.

TTPB: I received the same email on 02/26 saying that the decision on my case has not yet been made. It's been 10 days since then and I have write them because I need to make decisions about other acceptances soon due to budget and other restrictions during this application cycle. I have not received any reply yet, does any has more info on it? I am getting angsty, I really like this program!

[NOT WL]. Did anyone who was interviewed hear anything back yet? The email made it seem like results should have been announced on friday

"I am truly sorry to inform you that we are not offering you admission to the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The number of applicants to the graduate program far exceeds the number that can be accommodated and therefore only a small fraction of applicants can be accepted. We appreciate your interest in our department and hope that you are able to pursue your graduate studies elsewhere."

No interview. Quite amazed! Didn't expect it

Generic rejection email. Not much useful information in the email, but they mentioned that the competition this year is especially fierce. The final acceptance rate is less than 3%.

Did anyone email the graduate committee regarding when the decisions would be emailed?
