Straight from undergrad

You can't get in if you don't apply, right?

Luckily, I got into JHU SAIS. :)

Applied directly from undergrad. 2 international internships, 4 student orgs, 3.9 GPA, strong LOR. I'd suggest work experience for a better chance at admission!

Had an interview 3 weeks ago and notified by PI, recommended for the RA position.

Pretty surprised. Considered it to be my safe school

Got my official rejection on Feb 26. Not surprise.

Please decline acceptance offer if you have better offers.

TPB: Agreed. Do they charge an expensive application fee when they hire faculty or staff? Think about that. They gave you a decision letter because there is some sort of rule that asked them to do so. If there is no such rule, I don't think they would even bother. That is also why the letter is so short and generic.

Accepted to the MEng. in Cybersecurity. 1 presentation in an international conference. 2 internships => 1 in Cybersecurity (Research) Couple of Cybersecurity projectes

TTPB: I guess it's for everyone that status was changed to Under Program Review including mine.

My status changed BACK to under program review from application complete too. Is there anyone still with status application complete? Sorry if it sounds rude but just want to guess if it is any good news

[Not a WL] TPB: Agreed. Without a mandatory feedback and ground for acceptance/rejections, this process is just a profit-making exercise. Also, a complete lack of accountability. Transparency is key for efficiency. Something as opaque as the admissions process surely must be leading to a very inefficient selection process. The effect is not only on the candidates, it is also be on research and education as a whole. Wonder how the system could be reformed!

After years of hardwork, and a lots of effort and money put into the applications to get just two statements from graduate schools. Thank you for applying and regret to inform. They don't even specify candidates on what grouds they are being rejected, despite taking large sum of money on the name of application fees. They have no proper feedbacks to improve themselves if it is possible, otherwise to look for better alternatives. I don't think, graduate schools even consider student's time and money invested to submit a application form. I believe that the whole system is a big scam.

Out of state applicant. Really excited about this acceptance but waiting to hear about financial aid offers. I had experience with research abroad and volunteered in multiple research labs during my undergrad and post-bac. I also had a lot of volunteer experience in various settings and 4 years of experience working in schools and with bilingual populations.
