Graduate School Admission Results

to the poster below, last year, one of my colleagues receive the offer from Stanford without any interview. Maybe policy has been changed this year.

One year of study abroad experience and one conference paper. Disappointed to be rejected by my dream school :(

One publication, one-year undergrad research, one-year professional research. Oh well! Congrats and good luck to those that got in!

Finally got an email the afternoon of the 16th. Just happy the wait is over honestly!

Had no relevant publications, but 2 semesters of relevant research experience plus 5 semesters of other research

Will decline my spot on the waitlist as I've already been accepted to my #1 choice.

Disappointed, but thankfully got an offer from Princeton, which is probably a better fit. Congrats all! 2a/4r/1w/4p

I'm guessing that by industrial experience you mean work experience/ industry experience rather than experience in industrial jobs. I think they definitely seem to focus on the whole package, so having good grades is important but they take other factors into account. I met a guy there who had a philosophy undergrad degree but a ton of experience in construction and he got into the SDC-M program. I personally had a decent gpa, although no where near a 4, but I had a lot of good work experience and LOR's and I managed to get in. Best of luck!
