I did not gain acceptance last year, but this year I have been accepted by 5 programs and counting! The difference was a job I secured at Chicago Speech Therapy. They have an amazing program in which you work with them for a year and gain experience in a clinical setting. The program is designed for aspiring SLPs just like us! They look for aspiring SLPs who just missed getting into grad school, are working on a post-bacc degree in speech, or are taking time off before graduate school.
