Graduate School Admission Results

Applied to the PhD program but was redirected (and admitted!) to the MA program, which is also funded. Excited!

For the person who was accepted, would you mind sharing your stats? (GPA, GRE, etc.) Have you heard back from other programs? I haven't received a call from UCSB, so I'm unsure if this is a rejection or not. Congrats on your acceptance!

Really thrilled. Received a call from the head of the department who said it was an extraordinarily competitive year. First acceptance and so excited!

Applied to the Ph.D. Computational Media program at UCSC. Had an interview with the POI. Resting my hopes on this :)

A generic invite to a zoom interview (it's called an audition, but it's really an interview)

Was notified that I was waitlisted early JUNE via random email but was notified I was not coming off waitlist JULY 3. Interesting fact to note: last year I was also waitlisted but received an official "waitlist letter" via Department Chair, but this year, I was notified in JUNE by the graduate admissions board about said waitlist. I don't know if the discrepancy in letters from last year to this year was due to COVID, but whatever. Good think I accepted back in April to another program.

AMS awarded in March

Has anyone else had any notification for this program? UCLA was one of my top picks, but I feel really disappointed in how long I've had to wait to find out, especially because I've had to make decisions about other schools during this time.

Still no official notifications, but a UID Number pops up in the Applicant Status Portal. Does anyone know what it means? Or maybe I just did not see it before?

TTPB: Still no official notification from the program, but I contacted someone in the department last week asking about the results, and was then informed that I was rejected. Severely disappointed and heartbroken.
