Graduate School Admission Results

Anyone got accepted to the PhD program? I still have not heard anything regarding my application, and noticed only two people were waitlisted

Nothing yet... assuming corona delays, hope everybody is safe.

Received out of the blue email from the Chair of Graduate Studies. I imagine I was in the second or third pool of students, or they are really far behind.

Have heard nothing for months, got email to check portal, denied. No surprise, but what a shitty way to treat applicants. They could have rejected me long ago, or put me on an official waitlist instead of the limbo.

After many many many months of waiting, I finally received an email saying that I am admitted and that more documentation will follow confirming the funding offers, appointment expectations for the four years of program, finances, insurance plans, and other details.

I got a call last night about being high on the waitlist, followed by an email this morning saying that the spot was mine if I wanted it. Accepted and excited!

I got the notice that I'd been rejected at 1AM the night after the deadline for admitted students to select their program. I don't know if that means I was on a waitlist or if Texas waited that long to inform all rejected applicants.

Has anyone heard back, with any kind of decision? My status is still pending.

Applied Round 2(Feb 15). Interview invitation 09/03, submitted 14/03, notified 14/4

This school is insane. It has spent more than four months reviewing my materials and still make no decision on my application. Meanwhile, all other schools have their results sent at least one month ago. I respect the reputation of this university and department, but the whole application process really annoyed me a lot. Beware if you wanna apply in the future.

More than five months have passed and no new information has been posted. UCLA should be ashamed of their ineptitude; it is tantamount to fraud to accept these application payments and to not process the application and/or inform the applicants. The process is nebulous enough without so called "prestigious" schools like UCLA screwing over applicants. For future potential applicants, a word of advice, do not waste your money applying here.

TTPB: Agreed. I would suggest all universities setting up one additional program which admits no applicants at all. They can earn a large amount of application fee at no expense in this way! Liars and thieves!

140 USD application fee, no decision made till now, no notification in any form, emailed but no response for more than a week. At least they should let us know if rejected or waitlisted. Totally disrespectful, I just cannot believe it—curse all the responsible staff and faculty. Fk them.

Was admitted off the waitlist. Accepted the admit and will be starting in the fall. Yea!

thought it was my safety school but surprisingly got rejected without an interview

applied in round 2, also received a 30k scholarship

I had multiple interviews , However, have not heard anything from my research group. I applied to the NCB lab ? Anyone who got removed from the waitlist .
