People who have money to pay for your master's program you can easily get selected for NYU and Stonybrook masters programs. NYU informed me they have few funding opportunities for domestic masters students. I got selected for their master's degrees twice(applied for Ph.D.) but do not have money to go. So, staying at a low-rank school(near 100(+) US grad physics ranking). I have the best grades and I have no competition there and also there is a lack of professors for a good discussion. Therefore, self-studying most of the time. Given my experience, if you have money go for a top ranked grad schools obviously only if there are professors with your interest. Then perform very best in your first year and then everyone will need you for their research. Good Luck.

It has been more than 10 weeks since I applied to this program, no response till now. I know that many people have got the result early march. At this point I'm pretty sure that I'm rejected, but this is really frustrating when they don't even send out the reject email. I mean if I'm rejected just send me an email about that. I understand that now due to COVID, university must be facing lots of pressure, but you had freaking close to 11 weeks and I'm pretty sure that they have decided what to do with my application (most prob reject). Just send me the result dammit. Have mailed them also regarding email, got a generic email saying that they are still going through applications and they will send out result for everyone soon. I mean really...

Got a mail last night to check the portal, first admit of the corona szn

Rejected after Interview in mid-Jan. Emailed program yesterday and then received email (went to spam) to check website today. Data, Medicine, and Health Cluster of the Biomedical Sciences Program.

Received an email about the status updates in the portal. No scholarship. Submitted the application two weeks ago. Really shocked by their processing efficiency.

Rejected via. link to website in email in spam folder. Very sad

gre 330, 1 research paper, ecstatic, go away corona

No research exp, 3.6 GPA, 331 GRE

Post-interview rejection. Contacted the program but no response. 2 weeks later, received a notification in spam folder about decision update. Good luck to everyone else.

I applied to the bio track on 12/15/19 and have heard nothing back (aside from a lovely email on Christmas morning to check the portal "for future updates"). No other email or portal notifications since then. I emailed the anthro account on 3/19 and still radio silence. I have offers from an Ivy and better programs, but disappointed in how they're handling notifications.

Interested in Immunology and Microbiology. Interviewed on Feb 8, got an email for an update from the portal. Hope you guys all the best!
