Graduate School Admission Results

Received a Clarendon offer via email on the afternoon of the 26th! My dept. belongs to the social sciences division. I have not been assigned a college yet. In the letter it says that they'll be working on partnering with colleges and other sources during April and May. It says that if I have already been assigned to a college they may reassign me. Regarding being notified about nomination - From what I understand each department does it differently - some notify you without prompting, some will only tell you if you ask, some won't tell you even if you ask.

Ah, well.

I didn't receive the admission letter yet, but there was no interview call as well. I regarded this as rejection already.

Is anyone from Duke planning on turning down the offer?

Email from director of graduate studies saying they recommended my application for acceptance and funding options will come soon.

Originally was on the waitlist (I contacted the department asking about my status) and finally rejected. They said they have heard from a few candidates.

Accepted with full funding for four years plus fellowship first year. Note: This is for University of Pittsburgh, NOT Carnegie Mellon/Pitt Joint Program as accidentally posted below.

Have a BA in Archaeology from University of Toronto, but I'm an US Citizen. I was told in previous emails that its very competitive for US students, so I wasn't super hopeful.
