Graduate School Admission Results

Just happened to check the website today and I got accepted. If I hadn't got into any other schools higher up on my list then I'd def accept...but seeing as I did, I am going to decline. Still a good feeling though.

Rudy sucks anyways, and it's in Indiana. My wife is happy.

To the poster below who have mentioned an interview date with WashU. Could you please post an update once you complete your interview and if possible, the questions asked. Thank you so much.

Unofficial acceptance from POI. Offered an assistantship and a fellowship (details to come later).

Letter states not accepted to Master's program same as everyone else. I wrote an email to the department and to Paulla Ebron expressing my disappointment that in sending a sensitive notification they cannot even get basic details right. I expected this result as I was not interviewed. Some may have only found out today. I think it is highly disrespectful and requested they send an apology to all applicants who were carelessly given the wrong letter. No doubt everyone agnonized over every word of their SOP, so they should give some basic attention to detail.

Re: the poster below. Wado! (Thank you!) It seems very much like a copy-paste email. The only personalization was my name at the beginning. Though it did come directly from the Deputy Chair, and I emailed back immediately (they ask if you're still interested, if you have funding elsewhere, if you want to visit, and when you can interview) and have gone back and forth with the DC this afternoon in regards to everything they're wanting to know, so it's at least been personal after the initial email. ALSO, I just saw I put incorrect GRE scores. My verbal is higher than what I posted. Whoops!

To the poster below, it seems that only a few people have received acceptances and no one has posted a rejection, so I wouldn't worry just yet. Perhaps they're just waiting for the first round of admitted students to respond.

Accepted - full funding. I was expecting this but still... Woof, what a relief!!! I got an excited call from my future PI. All the results are in so the rest of you guys waiting out there... Should be soon! Good luck!!!

Accepted and given funding package at the conclusion of my in-person interview! They really liked me and I really like them and it was a great day!
