Graduate School Admission Results

Pretty disappointing. Really hoped to get in here :(

Received a mail to check portal. Generic rejection. Was given the option to be considered for MS in Applied Urban Science and Informatics program @ CUSP instead. ~3 Years of relevant work ex. TOEFL 116. No publications. Disappointed

For those asking, I did not receive any mail. Just checked the portal and there was a status update link which took me to the rejection letter

To the one below who just got the rejection result: Did you receive an email notification? Was it in today? I haven't received anything from NYU.

Could have at least given a personalized rejection, having made us wait so long. This application was a waste of time and money.

Does anyone know if they have a new date to send out results?

Has anyone heard (admit / reject) from NYU ChemE?

I was accepted 18 days after the deadline! Very grateful but only offered $7,500 in scholarship and $3,000 in work study. I will likely choose CUNY City College or CUNY Queens for a more affordable option.

I don't understand how it is taking so long! It is painful to wait this long especially the other schools have released offers and are waiting for our decisions. I think it is irresponsible on NYU's part to make us wait this long!

It's April 20 and I have not heard back from NYU as well. Been checking for the result since April 18. They really made all of us go crazy with that estimated decision “on or around April 18”. Hope that I will be able to recover from this traumatic experience soon. JK good luck everyone!

Anyone hear from NYU lately? Heard they sent an email earlier this month informing students they can expect to hear something by 18th April. I was on the put on the waitlist on 10th March and haven't heard anything from them since. TTPB: No one knows how long the waitlist is and how many people make it.

I'm absolutely annoyed, frustrated even, by the response of top colleges like NYU and Columbia. I applied to both these colleges for MSDS in mid-December and still haven't heard shit from them. NYU atleast sent a mail that they'll probably release decisions around 18th of this month, but Columbia? Nothing, not a peep. I get that NYC is the epicentre of the COVID-19 outbreak in the US, but students who applied to other programs in these colleges are still getting decisions? 4 months man, how much more time do you possibly want to go over an applicant's profile (which should take no longer than 1 hour)..All this leaves candidates no choice but to wait, something which is irritating the shit out of me.
