Graduate School Admission Results

The long wait was not worth it :)

Initially accepted without financial aid. Talked to an advisor and informed them that I couldn't attend without funding and they ended up awarding me a 50% scholarship. Always helps to ask, folks.

Can we now safely assume that no more admits will be given?

Undergrad in Speech and graduate about 3 years ago with a double major in Psychology and a minor. Overall GPA was around a 3.5 and major GPA of 3.4. Did not submit GRE scores since they were waived for 2020, but strong essay and letters of recommendation. I've also been a SLPA in the field for two years and have a lot of speech-related experience and a year of working in a lab. So excited!

Undergrad in speech but graduated over 7 years ago, currently a licensed teacher. 3.4- overall/ 3.2- major, No GRE score since they were waived because of the pandemic. Strong references and essay.

Did anyone get any response from NYU after being waitlisted ?

It's been 5 months since I have applied. Has anyone heard from the program recently ? Have they sent out any decisions. I'd be grateful if anyone could let me know. Thanks !

TTPB: So I just checked and I don't even see an update on the portal till now. All I have was a email telling me that I've been waitlisted. My friend waitlisted in March was told that the results might come out untill "sometime in August". Well, that's gonna hurt for sure.

Weird because I asked about my status and they said they sent out my waitlist decision on 4/24 but the update was " unfortunately bounced". They also said they don't have a timeline for the waitlist. Another 4 months?

Accepted off the waitlist this morning. This is so crazy, but I'm unsure if I'll be able to go until I hear about funding. Still so stoked. This was a dream.

This long wait for a rejection is quite unjust. Nevertheless, good luck to everyone who got it. Hoping the situation gets better in NY

Had really hoped to get in. If they had to reject everybody at the end, they should have done so way early instead of making us wait four and a half months. Pretty disappointed. Nevertheless, good luck to everyone who got in :)

Generic rejection. My first rejection. But who cares? I've been waiting for over 4 months and during which I got better offers. I won't say it was a waster of time waiting for them, but I did get really annoyed by how slow they are. Anyways, their loss, not mine. Good luck to the rest!
