Was not invited to interview, so no surprise here. Georgetown MPP graduate with 15 years research experience.

Has anyone who was invited to the prospective student day heard anything since then? I haven't heard anything after the prospective student day. Are the professors all busy with the online teaching (due to the COVID-19) so that they have no time to deal with the applications? I am a little worried because I have to make a decision before 15th April. Any information is welcome. Thanks.

Any idea? What could be the possible impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Fall 2020 session?

Also had MS in neuroscience.

I wouldn't have been a good fit, I want to specialize in development economics and I don't have an econ undergrad, although I minored in mathematics. Generic but respectful rejection detailing the many qualified applicants versus the few available spots. Already accepted to Johns Hopkins and Vanderbilt which I preferred regardless of this outcome.

Email to check portal. This came at a shock since I got into Columbia and Duke econ MA. Undergrad at top 10 US in econ & math. Great SOP and LORs but low GPA. Maybe they emphasize GPA as a filter since they have a large number of apps as per rejection letter (10,000 phd and ma applications)

Just received a wait list email. Congrats first and foremost to any applicants who have already been accepted. If you are planning to attend other institutions, it'd be a huuuuge help if you could notify them of you not taking the offer! Thank you so much!

TTPB: Thanks for the update! I've seen things being drawn out for this particular program in previous cycles, but I really don't get why everyone is left in the dark for so long. Clearly, no news at this point means bad news, but it's really frustrating smh.

TTPB: TL;DR decisions coming out by Fri, 27 Mar. I also reached out to Grad Admissions last week. They responded today with instructions to contact a specific individual in the Government department. I e-mailed that individual today (16 Mar), and they told me "You will receive a decision by the end of next week." That puts it to no later than 27 March for decisions.

GPA - 3.9; GRE - V: 162, Q: 154, AW: 4.5; 4 years of policy-related; work 6a/1r/0w
