Had recommendations from 2 distinguished MIT alumni, 5 publications, 4.0 grad. GPA...then got rejected. Had friend who got in last year after being rejected 5 yrs. ago with marginal grades. He got a job at MIT then got in through the back door taking one course/semester. |
