Pretty nice letter, we were impressed with your credentials but don't have the resources to admit all qualified applicants, accepted 8% out of over 300 applications, blah blah blah. Totally expected it. Oh, and I am located in the Boston area.

To the MIT poster below, thanks! I will be looking forward to my rejection letter upon arriving at home. Somehow I feel like sending it back and telling them I was accepted to better schools anyway.

The department reviewed more than 50 applications (...) and accepted fewer than 10%... pretty ridiculous! I wish I knew the stats before applying!!! I wouldn't waste the time..even Ph.D. is not as bad ;)

After calling and seeing the result on the website, I finally get to receive that thin envelope... I have to say it feels like being rejected three times from the same place...

Yessssss. Fricken awesome.

Third rejection in the last week... looks like I better start hitting the Craigslist job forums
