Accepted DUSP PhD below - which discipline group? were you interviewed?

Lots of publications (9 mid and high-impact journal papers, >20 conference proceedings) do not help if you're from a small unobtrusive university. Congrats to the admitted ones!

They rejected me even though my mile PR is 6:02. Interesting. I guess I really did need to go sub-6.

Generic rejection. 2 conference pubs, 1 journal pub, 2+ years of research experience in PV and applied mathematics, strong LoRs.

Field: NLP Masters and undergrad from top 15 school, 1 first author paper, 1 3rd author in review, MSR internship. 4th official rejection, good luck to all!

To the MIT meche acceptance below, did you receive an official email from the department or unofficial email from POI?

Reason given: Unfortunately, we are unable to admit you to our graduate program.  This year we received a record number of applicants, but we were only able to admit approximately 1 in 10.  As a result, we had to turn away hundreds of highly-qualified applicants.

Expected :

Eh, it was a reach, and I wouldn't have been able to afford it anyway. Would have been a dream come true. :/

Had one first-author publication, one in review. Also accepted to Berkeley. Had an interview with potential PoI last week. Email says a packet will be mailed with important information, no mention of funding in email.

Rejected by website, no email.

email from grad program admin in department stating acceptance + minimum stipend. POI cc'ed as well as another professor outside my research area (?). open house details sent later in the day.

To poster below, I'm also waiting on the S.M. results along with some other colleagues. Haven't heard anything back yet.
