Graduate School Admission Results

Rejected last year from 5 of 5 US schools, including MIT.

Expected seeing all the red on here today.

To the poster below: I'm an international student, got rejected by Cornell (email), CMU (email), GA Tech (applyweb status), no news from MIT & Purdue. BTW, a professor told me that Gatech ME doesn't enroll international students :(

Chemistry major with 5 pubs(3 first authorship). Not surprised tho.

From Sharif University of Technology, Iran First admission, so excited

160 applicants this year 10% invited for an interview Would regret not having tried

2 years work experience, relevant research experience, and an LoR from an MIT prof. Still, no use...

Never got an interview so I knew i would get rejected.....really competitive this year (40 out of 1000)

To those who haven't heard back: Did you get this email from ORC in late january? "Your submission included informal copies of one or more scores/transcripts. While we will use these informal copies to review your application, note that, if you are offered admission to the OR Center, we will require that you provide us with official versions of these documents"

2 years AMO research, 1 conference talk, no papers, Top 50 undergrad. ~800 PGRE, ~3.85 GPA.

To the previous post: did you just receive the interview invitation on Dec.28th? I'm trying to see if the department sent out the email on the same day.

Area: security. No interview, but have chatted with various professors at conferences.

Did anyone get interview requests from System/Networking/Architecture related fields?
