Graduate School Admission Results

Thank you for your application to the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Georgetown University. This year, the Graduate School received over 10,000 applications for our Masters and Ph.D. programs. As you can understand, the selection process for admission to all of our programs is very competitive, and given the nature of graduate study, the number of students admitted to our programs must be severely limited. As a result, the Admissions Committee was forced to make many difficult choices among a pool of highly accomplished applicants. I would like to assure you that the Admissions Committee gave your application careful consideration; however, we regret to inform you that we are unable to approve your admission to the Ph.D. in Biostatistics program for the Fall 2023 semester. We appreciate your interest in Georgetown University and would like to wish you success in your future academic and career endeavors.

Email saying that my application is on "hold" for further review due to limited spots available

Said they have sent out interview invites but aren't promising a next round of interviews, and if at all, it will be in march. Don't know if this is a subtle rejection as they didn't make it explicit.

Received email saying I got admitted on 1/26

Updated via portal, did not receive an email however

My POI called my cellphone and told me he was waiting outside my apartment. I rushed outside and he tossed me a spare helmet and said "hop on, we got shit to research." We drove off into the sunset and I felt so special.
