To the poster below... Admit on 11th April???? WOAAHHH thats way too an early admit. When did you apply for the program? Could you tell your profile please

Here's my guess: between yesterday and late next week the next (and final) batch of ad/rej is coming. On similar Chinese forum folks are reporting results. Calling them you get a message that says all decisions will be made and rendered by early April. The 1st batch had until yesterday to respond. Now they'll take a few days to see who replied yesterday and fill out the remaining slots. ~15 people admitted so far on this forum; 11 on a similar Chinese forum

I have applied to MDS program. Guys, can you please advise me on the Post Study work permit. This program is only for 10 months so that means we get a work permit for only 10 months? That will be less than a year's work experience making us ineligible for certain streams of permanent residence. Has anybody got any information regarding this? Also the provincial nominee program for BC has International Post Graduate stream which doesn't require a job offer but the degree must be from pure science natural science IT computer maths stats etc. I looked at this list and found it strange that MDS program isn't listed in it though it's a math and stat program. I will appreciate any help and information!

Anyone knows when the results will be sent out? a little bit anxious about it.

To the posters below who received a status update about the admissions timeline - I submitted my app in mid-feb before the deadline, but so far the only communication I've received was the email from SEAS when I submitted informing me that they've forwarded to the engineering dept for review. Is this normal, and are your statuses still marked as "Application Submitted"? Thanks and good luck to everyone else still waiting!

For someone who asked about the UBC MDS admission, I am waiting too. They have apparently started sending out offers and will continue to do so over the next couple of weeks

The waitlists results can be declared as late as May or June. So if you have not got your result you surely have been waitlisted.

Sounds like there are a bunch of us still waiting to hear back. Does anyone know if that rejection posted earlier today is legit or a troll?

Someone mentioned the acceptance rate was 12%. Was this really communicated by the department? And is it the MDS program?

Hi guys! Anyone who has decided to go someplace else, please decline the Columbia's offer. Some of you might be holding multiple offers and might be procrastinating in taking any decision. Now or after two months you have to take the same decision. Why not take that decision right now and do some good deed. I am sure the universe will pay you back. :)
