Comparative Literature, City University Of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center Accepted after an interview that I thought was super awkward. I wasn't expecting to get in since I had a TERRIBLE GRE, and decent overall gpa. The committee was very impressed by my essays since I wrote about a specific active grad center's professor's publications. My personal statement was very taboo. I guess it worked? Only thing that sucks is masters students receive 0 aid, but they are negotiating with me. On the bright side NY residents receive tuition waivers to public universities after a year of establishing residency. For those afraid of applying just go for it! Good luck to everyone

Data Science, New York University Thank you for applying to NYU's Masters in Data Science. While we have sent out some decisions about admission, we know you are still waiting to hear. We are aware this is stressful, and we apologize. The reason for our delay is not because we have not read your application: it is simply because the current COVID-19 situation has made the entirety of our admissions process very complicated. We are trying to calculate, often with daily updates, what our incoming class numbers might actually be -- and this obviously affects the number of offers we ought to send out. There is much more uncertainty than usual, and we want to get it right to ensure those that do come to join us have the best possible graduate school experience. What we can tell you is that we are still considering your candidature. We can also tell you that we anticipate a major update of information on or around April 18, when we will aim to make a large number of decisions in a short period.
