Field: Robotics

I was invited to the recruitment event informally by my potential advisor (apparently 01/14) . According to him, this department does not do formal interviews and the event has no effect on evaluation of the application. It is a "social event". Students are put on the invite list by faculty advisors. I think there has been some confusion in other comments about thinking this was an actual interview.

Top choice. Notified by POI. 2 years research experience and no GRE scores. Official acceptance notices will be released within the next few days. Good luck!!

Received an email from top faculty choice mid afternoon. Applied to ten programs, and this is the first response I've received. Worked on one research project at a PUI since freshman year, including two summers (no publications). Interest in inorganic catalysis. Absolutely floored.

The email was sent from the program coordinator. Full-day interview on 1/19.

To the poster who received an interview from the school psych program: did you get an individual email or was it a mass invitation? If the later, did the sender mention if or when other invitations might be sent out? ***UofSC sent an email to people invited to next weeks interview may still received invitations this week. Wasn't respecting a response before New Year's

Normal Bachelor's program. Prestigious Master's from a top uni in Europe. Letters of rec from ppl known in the field including a Nobel Laureate.

Has anyone received an interview invite for CLINICAL psychology at UC Berkeley for fall '21? I also got the mass rejection email but its for the entire department and I haven't seen anyone here confirm a clinical interview (only other subfields or "psychology"). Please let us know so we can give up hope lol. Best of luck to everyone!

To the poster below who informed me to check my spam, you were right! It did go to spam. Thank you for that information. Basically I was rejected... they already sent out all interviews. They said: "We are kindly reaching out to let you know that at this point in time applicants who have been invited for interviews have been contacted. Applicants not invited for an interview are unlikely to be offered admission, but all applications remain open until final decisions are made and applicants notified. We admit a limited number of students each year and must turn down many qualified applicants. We received approximately 700 applications for fall 2020 and offered admission to 33 students. We regret that we are not able to review applications to provide any feedback..." I'm super sad as this is my third year applying to grad school and I only applied to Berkeley this year but I'm happy for all who received interviews. Best of luck!
