No scholarship. 2 FLAG internship. 2 lab experience (robotics, CV). 1 submitted (but rejected) paper/manuscript.

TTPB: same situation here, I guess we just have to wait it out now. Honestly, i feel they release it on rolling basis. so we just have to wait till we get any decision. (I too expect a rejection LOL!!!)

Has anyone heard back from UPenn PhD program in CIS?

TTPB: I understand, but as was mentioned by the CBE Head, they had over 450 applicants this year; the maximum meeting strength did't go much past 140, both departments combined and with organisers on-board (given that most of us are prospective students hungry for an admit, and not knowing the intent of the meeting, very few would skip). PS: I am simply trying to guess, and am not drawing conclusions. I gave it all to my applications like all of you wonderful people here, and I am prepared for both outcomes- admission/rejection. I wish the best for all of you.

Not waitlist. Anyone hear anything? Have all acceptances been sent out?

The info session was more like a brief introduction of CBE and MSE. Being invited does not mean admission. The Graduate Admissions Director said there were indeed more applicants this year compared to previous years. The PhD applicants could expect to hear the decisions no later than 4/1. If I remember correctly, it was mentioned that the recording of today's info session would be uploaded to one of Penn's youtube channels in a week. I hope this helps! Good luck!

To the people invited to the graduate program information session: what was covered in this session? Does an invite to the info session mean an admit?

I also got the email from Penn Engineering Admissions inviting me to attend the graduate program information session. Don't know what it is tho.

TTPB: I would still definitely attend, especially if you got the email. I'm just not sure what this event really means or if all the applicants got the invite. It won't hurt to hear more about the department though.

TTPB: So what should I make of it? I am an international applicant. The fund mentioned in the description, if I am not wrong, is for students from 'historically black universities', and I don't think I am eligible for it in any way. What I think is that they've copy-pasted the description from a previous event. Also, does that mean whoever applied to the program (PhD, MSE) is invited?
