Astronomy And Astrophysics, University Of California, Santa Cruz Ignore interview, can someone tell me what is going on with UCSC? No portal updates, no emails, grad coordinator isn't responding to anyone (myself and others) no listings on grad cafe except for one a while back that was very cryptic. Any insight at all is very appreciated. Never emailed any profs for this school because their personal websites said not to contact them unless you were admitted.

Literature, University Of California, Santa Cruz So excited! Received a voicemail from a professor at UCSC saying he had good news! They let me know that they would send me more information on the financial package by the end of the month.

English, University Of Wisconsin-Madison Fully did not see the "not" in "not being offered admission," told my mom and some pals, then read the email again and realized I'm a fool lmfao. I think I would be way more bummed if the UCSC letter hadn't come on the same day (and I saw it just before). Good luck to everyone else!!

PBSE (MCD Track), UCSC POI called me to let me know! Interviews are January 20-21, on campus. My stats: undergrad GPA from >10 years ago is not great (sub 3.0) from a UC school, but I have an MS from an Ivy League university with a 3.44 GPA. ~9 years of research experience with about 4 of those years in biotech industry. 1 publication, several posters/abstracts. 4 years of teaching experience (2 years full time, formally at a high school). I'm hoping for the best!!

Economics, University Of California, Santa Cruz Emailed to the coordinator and ask about the status. Got replied that I am not rejected but on the waitlist. if anything has some offers strictly better than the USCS, please decline it. Also, I have something offers are dominated by UCSC, so if I could be off my waitlist, I will quickly decline my offers to reach a benign cycle. It depends on your, the top predators in the ecosystem. Thank you

History Of Consciousness, UC Santa Cruz IGNORE 'WAITLIST' - I've reached out to UCSC a couple times now but heard no response. 0 communication after I got confirmation of submission of my application. Its going to be almost 4 months since applications were submitted, does anyone have any idea about this?

Visual Studies, UC Santa Cruz (UCSC) No email; just randomly checked the portal and saw a status update. As much as this was my dream program, I know that it was also a reach for me (applied with just a BA, no master's degree/experience). Honestly relieved just to cross it off and move on. Biochemistry, UC Santa Cruz (UCSC) Accepted for interviews in Jan., but status has been in limbo for so long that I reached out to a professor at the school who informed me via email that I was not going to be accepted. Never received an official call, email, or letter from the school, however. School portal still has application as "submitted".
