Email from professor around 11pm PST on 10 Feb - much later than some other posts. No interview either, although I have worked with the professor before. Had almost written off my chances!

Woke up to the greatest news of all! International student with a BA from t10 uni in US.

International Student with 4.0 MA - EdPolicy program.

Thought i wouldn't get in.... but did! DON'T LOSE HOPE!!

TTPB: Do you know which POI from SVL has sent the emails?

Fingers crossed - unofficial emails from bio+ml, svl, theory!!!!!! none from NLP?

Unofficial acceptance from POI in theory group.

It seems that all the accepted students have been notified unofficially. Hope they roll out the rejects soon (12 PST?) and put our minds at rest.

I had my interview with about 6 faculty members which lasted about 20 mins.

Yeah if you did not get any interview, considered yourself rejected. Don't hope for Stanford as it is a lost cause.

Did anyone hear the MS&E Adcom for Fall 2021 asking for Official Transcripts? At this time last year, the emails were sent out asking for Internationals FINALIST to send official transcripts.

:O Only 2 acceptances... This is shocking! I wish all the best to your other applications. I am one of the finalists and I can't understand how someone can be recjeted after events in which we barely talk (class observation in which we are not required/requested to speak), informal chats with grad students and chat with professors from other departments... Will professors from other departments evaluate us? This seems weird. Anyway, one can only guess...

TTPB: Yes, 2 acceptances, that's for sure. I also thought it was absurd. I don't know if there will be only 2 finalists or if the finalists can still be rejected, since I only received casual feedback on my own application, but I'd suspect it's the latter. I had an interview with POI and the support was one of the strongest I had (or so I thought). And may I add: I had also received a Fulbright Scholarship, so the application was already pre-funded – that's the main reason for my disapointment with the rejection. I'm wishing you good luck in any case.
