Congrats to those who got admitted!

Really devastated! It was my first choice, it's an amazing program, but I know it was going to be hard to get accepted! Anyone got lucky?

I'm not sure why it has to do with people of a certain ethnicity or nationality (im chinese American). things are not gonna go as you expected no matter how badly you want it to. what you could do is simply to accept em. If you truly think you have the potentials but schools didn't see from your applications, take a year off working on your research skills to beef up your cv or get some papers published in some top conferences to show your potentials. Or go to some AI labs to become research engineers and apply next year. Also, there are also some other good schools out there. i just don't understand why people always are tryna be mean to others? you can't just simply say some international students stole your seats at UC Berkeley or Stanford because you didn't get in in the first place. you gotta grow up and stop acting like a kid.

TTPB: I also had 3 interviews in 18th-25th and haven't heard back yet. Do you know whether there will be more than one batch of acceptances? Based on previous years of results, PhD admits posted their status here all on the same day. I know the posts here are such a small sample size, but I just don't know if I should keep my hopes up at all.

TTPB: Yeah, touché. Seems sus tbh, but was just curious xD

TTPB: Stanford usually releases MSCS admits in March no? Seems too early for an acceptance.

Invited for 4 short (only 25 min) interviews with faculty.

TTPB: The first batch of admits has been sent out already. Rejection mails are likely to be sent out in the next week or so. I too had 3 official interviews but was not sent an accepted mail.

I had an interview in 18-25 Jan but did not hear anything back, thought they were the best interviews I had. Have all admissions been sent out? I don't see many shared admissions so not sure if they send all admissions in one batch. Does anybody have an idea about this? If they are, why the f*ck they didn't send any rejection or info to not-admitteds? Going crazy in the waiting process...

I interviewed, and I have friends who have heard back but I have heard nothing yet :( getting anxious

TTBP: I also heard that from the professors who interviewed me, and haven't heard back from them yet. One of them said the decision should be sent soon (within 1-2 weeks) before their open house day.

Has anyone who had a PhD interview heard anything yet? During one of my interviews AdCom person said they would likely meet at the end of last week, with offers to follow soon after.
