TTPB: I contacted the grad admissions coordinator and was told I should expect a final decision mid-March

To everyone who is going to be in the (possibly Berkeley) physics cohort of the guy who wrote the original SJW post (so not the person below): Have fun ;-)

(Ignore waitlist) TTPB: What does being a SJW school even mean? Admitting people who are not white males? Do you seriously believe that every minority who got admitted got in because of their race and not their actual academic accomplishments? Also for your information since California Proposition 209 in 1996, Californian public universities are legally not allowed to consider race or gender at all in university admissions.

Anyone heard back after initial acceptance letter like from POI's etc or open house RSVP? Also I know Berkeley is a great school but also very SJW and am curious if they award "brownie points" for "diversity". just wanna make sure i got in legitimately.

kind of surprised about this one TBH. Attended an invitation only diversity recruitment event for Berkeley and still got rejected. I have a better offer anyways so all is well! Congrats to those admitted.

Email to check the website just 30 min ago. Some guy below said that this week in March they will announce all decision, and now I get the rejection email. CME.

Lmao. They really want to rub it in your face. The first sentence says you were "not accepted," then the second one says, yes btch, that means you were "not admitted." I got a better offer and wouldn't attend anyway, but this sort of rhetoric is quite obnoxious imo.
