Social Computing. Tier 3 College with garbage of GPA 7.8/10. Papers in {ACL, NAACL, COLING} related to social computing.

From tier 1 institute in India. Have some first and second-author publications at reputed conferences.

For Fall 2021 we received large numbers of very qualified applicants. After a careful review, I am sorry to report that we are unable to admit you. We understand this decision is not what you had hoped, but wish you much success as you pursue your academic and professional goals. We wish we could accommodate a greater number of talented students in the program, but admission continues to be highly competitive. Due to the volume of applications received, we are not able to provide you individual feedback on our decision.

Interviewed by POI on 24th March! Going to vacate a seat each in UCSD and Purdue.

21 month internship with NASA, strong LOR, decent SOP, low tier undergrad school. Was really hoping for this one, 0/3 so far

Tier 1 institute from India (8.2/10 GPA), 3 mediocre international conference papers. Decent LORs. 6 month Computer Vision internship. First decision this session. Expected this but still disappointed.

So happy.
