Cosmology, I got an ‘informal' email telling me about the outcome but the official one came through the 7th of February

Is there anyone accepted into hep-ex or hep-ph or hep-th into Berkeley?

It really concerning how the competition for grad admissions has elevated. I have friends who have multiple published papers and are getting rejected from all the schools they applied to. I myself got selected into some good HEP-th programs but, I got rejected from places where I expected to have a clear chance considering my research profile and grades of graduate-level courses. I hope most of you get selected, even if not, do not lose your motivation and please try to pursue research if possible. We all get rejections but that does not mean you are not good enough in the long run. Take care and congratulations that you got this far. There is a long way ahead, enjoy the journey.

Condensed matter theory, offer came in Friday, no prior interview. Email mentioning that there are more than 1100 applicants this year, gosh it's getting more competitive each year

CMT, received a language interview request on Wednesday, offer came in Friday. No research interview

Ignore waitlist. Did everyone get notifications from Brown? It seems like I was forgotten by the department...no acceptance nor rejection

Two first author conference abstracts, one co-author abstract. 2 years for research experience. Denied from Stanford EE and all top universities for two years in a row

PI connections with faculty helped

HEP-Ph. Meanwhile I am rejected at The University of Manchester, they didn't even consider me for an interview. Atleast, I believe that I deserve to be on the interview list. At Manchester, PI told me before application that they have funds for international students but now I believe this is not true. I am currently doing a project which is directly related to her topic. Sometimes, I believe how universities in the UK still hold good ranks and reputations if they have no funds to take foreign students.

HEP-Ph. PI sent me an email asking for availability for 2 rounds of official interviews. I have a paper exactly on the same topic as the PI had with his PhD students but I got better results. I also submitted another preprint just a day before the deadline. Strong LORs from both supervisors. I have a Particle Theory Masters from Italy. 3+ years of research experience in HEP-Ph.

Ignore waitlist. Could anyone confirm if Hopkins is done with one round of admissions? I see sporadic acceptances from various fields, but not a well-defined round.

[Please Ignore Waitlist] Did anyone receive admission in theoretical subfields? I've seen a few acceptances but they were all experimental.
