Graduate School Admission Results

Expected, really, after all the rejections posted here. Got an email saying changes have been made to my application status, but the portal just showed 'Update Pending' for 2 days. Status changed to Denied today. Oh well. Good luck to those who got accepted!

All MS decisions are out already. All MS/PhD decisions will be out by the 31st.

MS CS. Been seeing "Update Pending" for the last 3 days. Kind of expecting this given everyone else's recent decisions. Profile: B.E. in Computer Science from a tier-1 Indian university. Research internship in a different country for 6 months. Work ex. as a Data Scientist for about 2 years.

Rejected :( International student, tier-1 university in India. 2 research papers (1 published, 1 under review) at top conferences, strong LoR's from research advisors, 1 MNC internship, average GPA. UMass was the ony uni that didn't offer deferrals from last year, so had some hope. This is the worst admit season ever :(

Portal updated to denied today. :(

It was on update pending for 2days and got updated to Denied 10AM IST today. FML.

Checked today and got the status "Denied". It was in Update pending status for 2 days. Applied for security track.

ignore wailist. Just received an email, stating that there is an update in the application status. Status is "Update Pending" from yesterday. No congratulatory message on the login page. Does this mean a reject? :(

Colleges are looking for people beyond just the academic qualities btw and they definitely don't want an egocentric a**hat with an inferiority complex like you attending but I wouldn't expect someone like you to understand anyways. We all can tell what kind of person you are by calling other students mediocre. Plus I sincerely doubt that will be/ have been admitted to a top 5 school based on how salty you are that you got rejected. So have a great day and think about why you got rejected before posting to GradCafe

Was about to log into Spire to check my status, and then realized I got a rejection in the morning. To be honest, feeling kind of relieved.

Our god BeanBag is happy to hear that he made it to GradCafe finally. "Mogambo khush hua" Any idea if the 22nd march deadline would be followed for MS/PhD students too?

I have also applied to the MS/Ph.D. program. But I don't think we would get a positive decision now, at least not for the MS/Ph.D. program. There might be some hope for an MS admit. To the poster with the outstanding profile: If you have so many publications, why are you even cribbing about UMass? UMass MS is not a research program. Also, getting an MS from CMU and UMass wouldn't matter much when you apply for jobs. You would know all this if you had done some research of your own.

TTPB: MS/PhD applicant here. Looking at the previous year's result dates in GradCafe, we should be getting results for MS/PhD over the course of the week. ATB!

MS/PhD applicant here as well, graduated from a school in London. My portal still says Application Under Review and i'm panicking cause today is the 22nd. I really want to go here but if I cant, i'll just go to George Washington as I have a pending offer there.

Lol. People channelizing all their rejection frustration by ranting over the portal. THIS WOULDN'T MAKE YOU FEEL ANY BETTER. You better work on your profile and make yourself worthy of the portal. No one from the univ told you to continuously check the portal. You better write a script that does it for you just like our god BeanBag (i.e., Vijay R**) from the Yocket group did. Why can't you people just wait for 2 more days when you have waited for 5 months. Rather utilize your time in improving your f*ing computer science knowledge.

TTPB: Applied for just MS. However, still under review. It's been 3 and a half months.
